How Ritualists Killed My Only Son, Removed Organs And Thrown Into Soakaway – Father Recounts
Father of 18-month-old Abideen, who was murdered by ritualists in Bauchi State, Alkazeem Saidu, says he is still processing his only son’s passing.
On August 19, 2023, Abideen vanished, only for his body to be discovered eight days later in a soakaway with all of his essential organs removed. The youngster was present at the time of the occurrence with his mother, Saudatu, 24, who was taking a test at the Green Herald College of Education, which is situated near Games Village in the Bauchi Metropolis.
Saidu, the father of the boy, in an interview with DAILY POST, said he is yet to recover from the incident.
According to him, the boy was his only son, born after three girls from his first wife.
His words: ” On August 19, I was called by my wife that our child had been declared missing at the College of Education where she is studying for her NCE programme. I was at the farm when I got the news.
“According to what my wife told me, she was writing a test, and her attention was diverted at the time. When the little boy went out the first time, she brought him back. But he went out again, and it was after the test that she realised he was missing.
“In the process of searching for him in the school, she saw one of his shoes in the school compound. We thought someone probably carried him because Abideen can’t trek that far. Then we sent messages to everyone in case anyone knew about his whereabouts. We sent messages to all mosques too, but for eight days, we didn’t know anything about his whereabouts.
“Then the Registrar called me. He said I should come along with my in-laws. When we got to the school, I met a policeman and the Registrar. They pointed to the soakaway and said, ‘That is your child.’ A closer look showed that my son’s nose, tongue, and eyes were already missing from his body.”
