How Israeli Strike Hit Syria Airport, Putting It Out Of Service
Authorities have spoken on how an Israeli strike hit Syria airport at Aleppo, putting it out of service.
“The airport is now out of service and all scheduled flights were diverted to Damascus and Latakia airports’’ Syrian General Authority of Civil Aviation, said referring to the attack at Aleppo’s airport in the country’s Northern Syria.

Currently, engineers are inspecting “the damage at the airport runway and started to remove the effects of the aggression in preparation for its repair”, report quoting the country’s official media added.
“At approximately 4:30 a.m. Monday, the Israeli enemy carried out an air aggression from the direction of the Mediterranean Sea, west of Latakia, targeting Aleppo International Airport, causing damage to its runway”, the official Syrian News agency (SANA) clarified.
A second source, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, also added its voice on how Israeli strike hit Syria airport, saying the strike targeted a weapons depots belonging to pro-Iranian militias at the Nairab military airport, which is part of Aleppo airport .
There were no casualties, the report added, with the observatory saying that since this year, it had documented 26 strikes by Israel on Syrian territory, 19 of them by air and seven by land.

At the time of the report, there had not been a reaction from the Israeli military.
Israel-Arab conflict has a long history, the Six-Day War of June 5 to 10, 1967 being a major highlight. The war however ended with Israel capturing strategic sites that have been under contest. These included the Sinai Peninsula, Gaza Strip, West Bank, Old City of Jerusalem, and Golan Heights.
