How Bianca Slapped Obiano’s wife At Soludo’s Inauguration, updated

Newsrooms are still buzzing with the news of the fight between widow of Dim Emeka Odimegwu Ojukwu, Bianca, and wife of outgoing Gov Willie Obiano, Ebelechukwu.

But rather than the initial account of Ebelechukwu slapping Bianca, latter accounts indicate otherwise.

IT was today at the inauguration of Prof Chukwuma Soludo as the governor of Anambra State, that the two had their scuffle

The Eagle correspondent gathered that the incident occurred immediately after Soludo had taken his oath of office.

A NAN report on the incident was that dignitaries including Ex-Gov Obiano were already seated when Mrs Obiano stepped in and moved to the front row where the widow of Dim Odumegwu Ojukwu was seated and slapped her.

She reportedly held on to Mrs Ojukwu before security agents pulled her off.

However, latter reports show that it was Bianca who slapped the former governor’s wife.

Bianca, former Nigerian ambassador to Spain in her explanation, said she slapped Ebele Obiano to defend herself after the wife of the former Governor attempted to remove her headgear in public.

In her words via an explanatory note, she said:

“As the inaugural ceremonies for Prof Charles Soludo and his deputy began and all guests were seated, the Former First Lady of Anambra State, Mrs Ebele Obiano, was noticeably absent.

“She then arrived some one-and-a-half hours later while the ceremony was on. I didn’t pay any particular attention to her arrival.

“Surprisingly, she then walked towards me and I thought she was coming to greet me. Instead, when she got to where I was seated, she verbally attacked me with her voice raised, taunting me and asking me what I was there to do and using unprintable vile language.

“She asked if I had come to celebrate their last day in office. But I ignored her completely. Then, she kept aggressively putting her hands on my shoulders and shouting.

“While I ignored her verbal onslaught, as advised by those sitting around me, I requested twice that she refrained from touching me with her hands.
