How Atiku, Obi Conspired Lekki Tollgate Massacre Report – MC Oluomo

The shooting of #EndSARS protesters at the Lekki Tollgate in 2020, according to Musiliu Akinsanya, MC Oluomo, the chairman of the management committee for Lagos State Parks and Garages, cannot be linked to Bola Tinubu, the APC’s presidential candidate.

According to Oluomo, it was rather a political game by Tinubu’s counterparts in the Peoples Democratic Party and the Labour Party, Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi respectively.

The transport manager stated that it was not conceivable that demonstrators would be killed, the bodies would not be made public, and the relatives of the deceased would not come forward to request the whereabouts of their loved ones.

These were his words on Sunday as he spoke at the gathering he organized in Lagos in support of his candidate, Bola Tinubu, and the governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

Oluomo said, “Where are the bodies and where are they buried? Do they have relatives in Nigeria? Has Nigeria bribed the mothers of the deceased protesters? Why are their siblings not searching for them, even on social media? Or is Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu a Chief of Army Staff or President who will order the killing of protesters at the (Lekki) Tollgate?”

“They’re lying to us, they want to undermine the Yorubas, everyone should come out. It is a political game. It was Atiku and Obi that conspired to do all those things then.”

Numerous young people took to the streets in Nigeria and other parts of the world in October 2020 to demonstrate against extrajudicial killings by the police, particularly those committed by the now-defunct Special Anti-Robbery Squad.

After the shooting at the Lekki Tollgate on October 20, 2020, the state government established a Judicial Panel to look into complaints of police violence in the state.

The panel submitted two reports: one on the investigation into the Lekki incident and the other on incidences of police abuse.

The panel listed 10 people who died as a result of the Nigerian military’s firing at the Lekki tollgate on October 20, 2020. Additionally, it advocated for the prosecution and relocation of the Maroko Police Station’s Divisional Police Officer for the senseless shooting and killing of demonstrators.

The report has since generated controversy, particularly after the Federal Government rejected it due to inaccuracies.
