Housewife Faints In Court After Husband Said: “I’m Tired Of The Marriage

A housewife has fainted in court after her husband insisted he would no longer go ahead with the marriage and opted for divorce.

The incident caused a stir at the Area Court Centre, Igboro, Ilorin, Kwara State, on Wednesday.

The woman, identified as Mulikat Yusuf, and her husband, Ishaq Abdulganiyu, had appeared before the court, Judge Toyin Aluko seeking possible reconciliation of their differences.

Rather than a resolution that the woman expected, the husband Judge Toyin Aluko instead:

“I’m tired of the marriage, My Lord.

“We’ve had several misunderstandings, and I don’t see any reason to continue.”

The Eagle correspondent gathered that the woman, in tears pleaded with the court to intervene, saying she was not ready to accept a divorce.

“My Lord, please help me talk to him.

“I have nowhere to go. I have given birth to six children for him, and I still want the marriage to work”, the woman pleased, while the husband reportedly remaining adamant.

The agonized housewife was said to have left the courtroom in tears, suddenly slumping outside.

The stampeded attracted people with sympathisers quickly pouring water on her seeking to revive her.

The judge was said to have intervened by advising Mulikat to make every effort to reconcile with her husband, while adjourning the case to December 10.
