Houses, shops lost to oil tanker explosion

Three residential buildings and ten shops have been gutted by fire in the In Orimerunmu Axis, Olowotedo, on the Lagos/ Ibadan Expressway Olowotedo, Ogun state.
The incident happened in the early hours of the 27th M.arch, 2019 aftee a haulage truck carrying diesel engine oil with plate number FST666ST got burnt around Ifelodun community ,opposite Orimerunmu primary school area. Olowotedo,

The truck got burnt during the offloading of diesel engine oil to reservoi.
Acccording to findings, the truck caught fire ignited by the generator used for the offloading.
It was allegedly overworked till it turned to red colour before it exploded.

An eye witness told our reporter that the explosion caused much damage within the axis.
10 shops, 3 residential property were reportedly affected in the incident, and many shops and goods were burnt to ashes.
