Help, They Want To Hijack Our Convention, Aggrieved Youths Plead
Help, They Want To Hijack Our Convention, this is the cry of some young bloods within the fold of the All Progressive Congress (APC).
They have carried the battle cry to highest quarters, the office of the President, Mohammadu Buhari urging him to allow the identified perpetrators to have their way.
The youths are pointing accusing fingers on some governors of the party, saying they had perfected their plans for the party’s upcoming National Convention.
The youths made their concerns known using the platform, APC Youth Development and Solidarity Forum.
According to them, the target is to single handedly pick persons for some sensitive posts.
The group did not want to sit down and moan, but actually organised a protest at the National Assembly.
Their president, Danelsi Momoh, warned at the protest that the move if not nipped in the bid could tear the party apart, hindering it from electoral victory at the polls.
“We are consequently pained with the action of some governors in our party who are desperately trying to undermine the democratic process by attempting to deceive you and other party members into endorsing a fraudulent list of candidates at the party’s national convention.

“They want to singlehandedly pick the chairman of our party and other candidates for leadership position during the convention.
“We call on the president as the father of the party and in line with your stance on transparency and accountability, to reject the governors and their plans and equally consult other stakeholders like the forum of ex-governors in the party to make an input.

“The president should consult members of our party in the National Assembly which has the biggest caucus in the party towards finding an amicable resolution of the impending crisis .”

Karaole Estate restrictions of outside bike and keke (tricycle) and effects on the residents.
Karaole Estate Management has restricted bike and keke Popularity known as Maruwa taking passengers who reside in the estate not to take the inside,they are expected to drop them at the front gate of the estate. This inconveniences has made most residents and even other people that come to visit the people living there wonder if it is because they want the people to be taking the provided bike and tricycle in the estate to be dropping them off at their various home or last destination or because of the insecurity problem of the neighborhood. But they wonder why the don’t allow the same rules to apply to the car users because they allow all kinds of vehicles from any destination to enter the ears without questioning them or even stopping them to ask where they were going to who they wants to see.
The residents of the estate that the rules affects lament how inconvenient it is for them to be jumping bike and spending what they were to pay double of the what exactly it should be.
An interview was conducted with two residents and one of the security at the estate gate to tell us how this rules from the estate management affects,Mr Ibrahim Adigun one of the security officer in at Karaole Estate that was interviewed said “the reason why we don’t allow these commercial bike and tricycle in our estate is because most of them are reckless and are not always careful with the way they move around and this is an estate where the management are always conscious of what happen here so in other to avoid this we had to restrict them from coming in all passengers are to be dropped of at the entrance gate of the estate ” he also added that “ the security of the people living here also matter a lot because that is what we are paid for and we are expected to carry out our duty diligently ”. Also an interview from a resident of the estate who this rule effect Miss Okikioluwa said “ I was embarrassed by the people staying at the gate on Friday when I was heading to the hospital inside the estate to receive a medical care there and I was coming from ogba which I had negotiated with the bike man, but unfortunately we were stopped by the security men to drop me at the gate entrance despite the fact that I was weak and had no enough strength, I now had to take another bike that was provided in the estate to take me there which made me spent more than I have budgeted”.
