Heavy Blow As Barcelona Announces Sergio Busquets Injury Update

Sergio Busquets, the captain of Barcelona, has received an update on his health after suffering an injury against Sevilla in La Liga.
On Sunday, Busquets was replaced at the center of the park by Franck Kessie after he hobbled off the field with an injury in the eighth minute.

The Spanish player suffered a left ankle external lateral ligament injury, according to a statement issued by the club.
This was what the club said: “Tests on Monday morning have revealed that first team captain Sergio Busquets has sprained the external lateral ligament of his left ankle.
“He will be unavailable for selection until he recovers. Following a clash with En-Nesyri in the 7th minute of the game with Sevilla on Sunday at Spotify Camp Nou, the midfielder had to make an early exit from the proceedings.
“Sergio has featured in all but two of Barça’s 20 league games so far this season, as well nine games in other competitions.”

The Catalan giants, who are scheduled to play Manchester United in the first leg of their Europa League playoff match on February 15, have been dealt a severe blow by Busquets’ injury.
It is uncertain whether the 34-year-old will be able to return before the important match.
Xavi’s team will play Villarreal on Sunday with a commanding eight-point advantage at the top.
