Good News For Nigeria! SuperSport To Broadcast 2023 AFCON

Following the revelation that SuperSport will broadcast all 52 matches of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, Nigerian fans will have access to watch the competition.

GOtv Nigeria has confirmed that SuperSport TV, owned by MultiChoice, would telecast the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Nigeria.

SuperSport faced criticism for not obtaining the broadcasting rights in South Africa, despite having a sizable fan base there.

The announcement was made on social media on Wednesday afternoon.

The competitor nation of Nigeria, South Africa, will view the Afcon on its official broadcaster, the SABC, which obtained the rights through a sublease from the Togolese network New World TV. The Ivory Coast tournament’s rights are owned by New World TV.

Nigeria will kick-off their campaign against Equatorial Guinea on January 14 at the Olympic Stadium of Ebimpé where they will look to turn the leaf following a string of underwhelming performances in the build-up to the continental spectacle.
