Good Naija People, Save Man From Third Suicide Attempt

Naija People -But for some good Naija people, the story of Saheed Oladeji would have been a different one now, he probably would have gone to the great beyond, having plunged to his death.

Oladeji reportedly attempted killing himself earlier today, by jumping into River Osun from under the Gbodofon bridge in Osogbo; it was the intervention of good Naija people that saved the day.

Investigation showed that this was not his first attempt at suicide.

The people from under the bridge, sensed danger in the way he was moving and raised the alarm.

They were quickly joined by men of the Osun State Fire Service, and nipped the act in the bud, by reportedly using a rope to bail him out of the water.

“We received a distress call, and men immediately moved to the scene. We rescued the man. He had already jumped into the river”, spokesperson of Osun State Fire Service, Ibraheem Adekunle, said while confirming the incident.

“People said the latest attempt by the man, who gave his name as Saheed Oladeji, was his third attempt to take his life”.

Oladeji provided a lead to the attempted suicide while speaking in a short video afterwards.

The victim is said to be resident alone in Osogbo whereas his wife and children live in Lagos.

The latest incident was his third attempt at taking his life.
