Gender War – Bra is an underwear worn by women to cover and support the breast. Bra is the short form of brassiere.Your bra is part of your wardrobe. So, it is necessary to give them proper maintenance like you do to your dress. An in-depth knowledge of how to maintain your bra is therefore important to living a healthy life.

With adequate maintenance you can use your bra up to 8 months before discarding. Your bra should maintain a parallel look at the back in other to avoid ridding.

The following tips for proper bra maintenance will certainly help you:

  • Wear your size: It Is good you know your bra size so that you can look smart. Wrong bra size might make you shapeless and the beauty in your dress will not be admired. We often experience changes in our breast due to menstrual cycle, pregnancy, and even breast feeding. It is good to always be prepared for this period with different kinds of bras that will fit into those periods. In case your breast can no longer breathe well, which means you are no longer feeling comfortable in a particular bra, it is important for you to know the cause of the discomfort and address it quickly.
  • Rotate your bra: Rotating your bras makes them last longer.
  • Do not store dirty bras: storing up dirty bras will make your bra attract germs which might cause rashes to your breast. Wash your bra every two weeks.

  • Hand wash: if you want to enjoy your bra, do not wash with machine. However, if you are too busy and must use machine, please make sure you set your machine to gentle cycle, wash delicately and fasten your bra’s clasps before washing so it does not twist and deform. Donot use too much detergent while washing; if you do, make sure you rinse well so that the fibres are not damaged.Do not soak your bra or wring too hard.
  • Drying your bra: For your bra to last for 8 months, do not dry it with dryer in order to maintain the color and the elasticity. Dry naturally, preferably on a drying rack.

Do not mix up colours: Do not mix white bras with any other colour to wash. Bras are synthetic which means they have a great propensity to pick up dyes from the wash loads.
