Freedom At Last As Hamas Releases 7 Israeli Hostages

It is freedom at last for 7 hostages taken in by Hamas as they have been released, after staying for 738 days in a captivity some have described as hellish.

The release today marks a refreshing turning point in the Israeli-Hamas hostilities which has claimed hundreds of thousands of lives, lead to the destruction of property and significant realignment in global relations.

Aside being freedom at last for the hostages, who were taken captive Gaza in October 7, 2023,  it was also great relief for the families of the hostages who had spent the last few months in personal anguish.

Excitement greet the news of the release of the hostages

As the world tries to assimilate the story of the release, United States of America (USA) president, Donald Trump is already on ground to oversee peace deal to seal off the hostilities.

Tens of thousands of Israelis watched via television as the seven captives were handed over to the Red Cross this morning. Captives released are Matan Angrest, twin brothers Gali and Ziv Berman, Alon Ohel, Eitan Mor, Guy Gilboa-Dalal and Omri Miran

They were to be taken first to a military base in Re’im, near Gaza, to be checked over before meeting their families.

The 14 remaining living hostages are expected to be released within the next two hours.
