Even Muslim Women are Unhappy With Tinubu

The sharp criticism of President Bola Tinubu’s handling of pervading hardship in the country is not sectarian, as a Muslim women segment in the country has risen in criticism.

Under the aegis of the Federation of Muslim Women’s Associations in Nigeria, FOMWAN, they have mentioned education and social welfare as examples of areas where the policies are grossly lacking.

The federation which spoke yesterday through National Amirah of the association, Hajia Rafiah Sani, stated that implementation of policies in the education sector had been poor, mentioning, high rate of poverty and lack of empowerment as well as the poor state of security as other indicators.

FOMWAN  leaders said given the situation of insecurity that the president needed to do something, including tinkering with his cabinet so that life could become safe in the country.

The Eagle reports that the Muslim women’s  fear is freshly justified by increasing concerns on social media, over the disappearance of an anonymous whistleblower.

IT was investigative journalist, David Hundeyin, an investigative journalist who drew attention to  the lot of the whistle blower, and he fingers the Nigerian authorities..

However, former National Amirah and Chairperson of the National Organising Committee for the conference, Prof. Lateefah Durosinmi, equally expressed concern over increasing hardship in the country, urging for the empowerment of women and girls.

“The lack of education has been a contributing factor to insecurity in the country, which is why the association has been involved in a retreat and has submitted a bill to the National Assembly to eradicate the almajiri system in Northern Nigeria:, Durosinmi stated.

Aside the Muslim women stance, the social media is awash with complaints by Nigerians many of them women who have been finding it difficult to keep their Homefront’s on account of the economic challenges in the country.

There have been countless posts of them earnestly appealing to the president to help the husbands mitigate their sufferings.
