Election Tribunal: Abbah ‘ll Complete His Term As Governor, And More –Ajadi
A Chieftain of the New Nigeria People’s Party, (NNPP), Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo has declared that the election tribunal ruling notwithstanding, that Abba Kabir Yusuf would spend his term as Governor of Kano State and even more.
Ajadi expressed this optimism while reacting to the judgement of the Kano State Governorship Election Tribunal which nullified the election of Abba Yusuf as the state’s helmsman.
He said he and other party faithful were thus not losing sleep over the election tribunal ruling which has also seen massive opposition on the streets of the metropolitan city.
For Ajadi, Yusuf would finish his first four-year tenure as governor and even more, irrespective of the initial hiccups.

Speaking with journalists on Friday in Ibafo, an Ogun State outskirt, Ajadi referred to the reaction of Kano residents to the Tribunal’s judgement is an indication that the people were still with Abba Yusuf and appreciated the good works he had started.
He thus described the election tribunal judgment as temporary, set to be upturned by the Court of Appeal eventually.
He said the manner of delivering the judgement from an unknown place through Zoom showed that the Judges themselves know that the people of Kano were with Abba Yusuf.
Ajadi who was the NNPP Governorship Candidate in Ogun State in the last governorship election insisted that the judgement could not stand the test of time, adding:

“Our party is appealing the Election Tribunal judgement and we are confident of winning at the Court of Appeal.
“I am assuring every Nigerian that our amiable governor, Abba Yusuf will serve the people of Kano State for the constitutional two terms. It is going to be four plus four, (4+4) by the Grace of God.
“I want all residents of Kano State to please maintain the peace. NNPP is a law-abiding party. Our presidential candidate, Engineer Rabiu Musa Kwakwanso is a peace-loving person, so also is our governor, His Excellency Abba Yusuf.
“We have the belief and trust in the Judiciary and we know we won the election in Kano State freely and fairly.
“We know the judgement is a temporary one and it will not deter Gov Abba Yusuf from continuing the good job he has started since May 29.
