Ekiti State and Imo State have Candidates from Ekiti and Imo States have emerged UTME topmost scorers in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, once again. demonstrating the intelligent stuff they are made of.
They beat states like Ogun, Oyo, Ondo in The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board list of top-performing candidates in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
The list was unveiled during the 2026 Policy Meeting on Admissions to Tertiary Institutions held in Abuja on Monday.
The list has Owoeye Daniella Jesudunsin is number one nationwide in the list of UTME topmost scorers with 372 out of the maximum 400 points in the examination.
She is followed closely by Enwere Kingsley Ikenna from Imo State who scored 370 in the examination
While Owoeye s interested in studying at the University of Lagos, the Imo ambassador, Enwere wants to learn at Nile University.
