Dollar To Naira Today, 30th September

Dollar to Naira exchange at the black market segment today, 30th September 2022 further dipped by N5 to sell at N740 compared to N735, it sold this same time yesterday.

This is according to currency traders in Lagos.

The exchange rate at the Investors and Exporters window dipped by 0.15% to close at N437.03/$1 yesterday as opposed to N436.37/$1 observed in the previous session. Despite an increase in the volume of traded FX in the window, this is the case.

The opening indicative rate was N437 to $1, as opposed to N436.79 in the previous session.

Additionally, the currency rate moved as low as N425/$1 during intraday trading, with the highest rate during intraday trading reaching N455/$1 before it closed at N437.03/$1.

Data from the FMDQ reveals that a total of $223.3 million in FX value was traded, which is 86.88% more than the $119.49 million that was done so on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the local currency stood at N736 in the Peer-to-peer (P2P) segment in contrast to N740 it traded this time yesterday. The Eagle observed the local currency soared by N4.

In the Central Bank of Nigeria’s (CBN) foreign exchange segment, the exchange rate closed at N432.87 in contrast to N432.54 it traded on Wednesday, showing the Naira fell by 0.08 per cent.

When we look at the whole month, we see that Dollar to Naira exchange rate was ₦424.92 on Thursday, September 01, 2022. As of today with Dollar seen at ₦432.87, we see a 1.87% increase for USD to Naira exchange rates in CBN for this September.
