Dollar To Naira Rate Today, 26th October 2022

The Dollar to Naira exchange rate at the unregulated sector, also known as the black market today, 26th October, is set at N761/$1. This is according to currency traders in Lagos and Ibadan.

This is against N755 it traded in the previous session, indicating the local currency declined by N6 against the American counterpart. Of course, this is to be expected due to the pressure on the economy.

Additionally, according to information from the Investors & Exporters (I & E) Window, the local currency declined against the US dollar yesterday in the spot market by 29 Kobo, or 0.07 percent, to trade at N441.67/$1, down from N441.38/$1 in the previous session.

During the session, FX transactions worth $79.41 million were carried out, $39.94 million or 101.2 per cent higher than the $39.47 million executed a day earlier.

SImilarly, the local currency slumped by N3 in the peer-to-peer (P2P) foreign exchange segment to settle at N756/$1 today, compared to N753 it traded this time yesterday.

Meanwhile, in the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) forex segment, the currency exchange remained flat to trade at N437.68 yesterday, the same value it concluded on Monday.

In the cryptocurrency segment, all the coins recorded a bullish movement, with Ethereum soaring the highest at 13 per cent.

Bitcoin (BTC) appreciated by 7.01% to settle at $20,660.88, Ethereum (ETH) jumped by 13.92% to conclude at  $1,534.54, Litecoin (LTC) appreciated by 9.19% to trade at  $57.37, Bitcoin Cash (BCH) appreciated by 6.45% to settle at  $115.6 7, IOTA in the same vein appreciated by 4.39% to conclude at $0.2571, Ripple (XRP) jumped by 4.07% to settle at $0.4657, ADA appreciated by 12.83% to conclude at $0.4072 and DSH jumped by 6.57% to conclude at $42.53.
