Dollar To Naira Exchange Today, Tuesday 23rd August, 2022

The foreign exchange trade between Dollar to Naira today, Tuesday 23rd of August is set at N687, according to sources at Bureau De Change and Lagos currency traders.

The Naira depreciated by N2 against the Dollar as the black market’s previous trading session in Lagos closed at N685/$1.

In the same vein, the Naira recorded a bear of 0.09 per cent against the US Dollar at the official Investors and Exporters Window (I & E). The local currency opened the weekly trade at N429.07/$1 to close the day at N429.43/$1, reflecting the 0.09 change since the previous session closed at N429.38/$1.

In the Peer-to-Peer segment, the Nigerian currency further surges to N693.09/$1 as the pressure on the local currency persists.

The story is indifferent at the official Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) forex segment as the local currency lost 0.07 per cent of its value to its counterpart in the last trading session. The Naira concluded yesterday’s previous session at N421.71/$1 against Friday’s N421.4/$1 indicating the 0.07 per cent appreciation for the foreign currency.

Meanwhile, in the digital world of currencies, the past 24 hours have been favourable as all the coins have incurred a bullish stance in trade.

Bitcoin (BTC) appreciated by 1.01 per cent to be sold at  $21,372.89 a coin, Ethereum (ETH) jumps by 2.46 percent to be exchanged at $1,602.76, Litecoin (LTC) appreciated by 5.42 per cent to be sold at $56.25 BCH/USD $131.4 12.89%. While IOTA/USD $0.2885 0.0063 (2.23%), XRP/USD $0.3389 0.0054 (1.62%), ADA/USD $0.4574 0.0112 (2.51%), DSH/USD $47.5 2.6 (5.79%).
