A Campus Queen Pageant/TV Reality show targeting young ladies with beauty, brain and morals has been inaugurated in Lagos.

The brief but symbolic inauguration took place  yesterday, with the organisers – Bullbell Africa Project and The Eagle Newsmedia, promising a reality TV show with a difference.

That difference, they say, is that the Nigerian Campus Queen TV Reality Show -NGQ –   comes with a strong moral leaning, eliminating nudity and leud talks, while emphasising academic excellence, entrepreneurial prowess and cultural ambassadorship.

Though the NCQ has had a maiden outing, the formal unveiling is to underscore a rejigging aimed at highlighting its all-round advantage, for contestants, corporate partners, voting public and the organisers.

Convener and president of Bullbell Africa Project, Honourable Funso Jide Adekunle described NCQ Reality TV Show as a non-bikini beauty pageant that would bring together undergraduate female students from different tertiary institutions across Nigeria, to relate, share and contest in a positive manner.

They could come from public or private institutions but possess inert positive values, the brain and the morals of worthy ambassadors, which would then be validated through a voting process in the course of the one month they would be in the house.

There would be zonal winners, and a grand finale, which winner would eventually represent Nigeria at the continental campus queen pageant.

He emphasised the point that there is beauty beyond a show of the body, and that the real beauty queen is the one who combines rare qualities of beauty, brain and morals, and yet have a warm and pleasant disposition.

He promised that it would redefine reality TV show hosting, sponsorship and viewership in the country.

Other directors who spoke at the event were, Mr Peter Possible Inyang, and Mr Emmanuel Ikpeama, (Marketing & Brand Management; and Media Communication & Brand Spokesperson respectfully) with the former reassuring that due diligence would be taken in deciding on the eventual marketing and sponsorship partners from the ones already in view and also fresh prospects.
