Budding Stars Thrill Audience At NIJ Students’ Week Opener

Joel Amadi, Mcreel, Josephine and other entertainers converged at the Nigerian Institute of Journalism on Monday, May 6, 2019 as the Day 1 event for the 2019 NIJ student’s week tagged XLR8 commenced.

The show started at about 7:00pm and went on for hours. The event was anchored by Willy Walker and Imoh. These hypemen- as they are being called, saw to it that the show went on with the energy and vide needed.

Few hours into the show, the Deputy Provost of the school, Dr. Jide Johnson, encouraged students to take pictures and video recordings of the event and upload on their social media platforms.

MC Beelicious, one of the convener, thrilled the audience with varieties of acts. He also ushered a number of entertainers like MC peetosky, Alibaba’s finest, amongst others.

Opeyemi Rufus, a student of the school expressed her thoughts. She said “This is my first year in NIJ and I’m really excited to be a part of this year’s student’s week. I look forward to all the events as planned by the Students’ council and I do hope I’ll have something to talk about come 2020.”

The event had about 500 people in attendance.
