Brighton’s Caicedo Could Hand In Transfer Request To Force Move
Brighton’s Moises Caicedo is attracting interest from Arsenal and Chelsea with both reportedly trying to sign him before the end of the transfer window.
Leading Premier League team Arsenal and powerhouse Chelsea are expected to compete for another up-and-coming player as both teams try to sign Caicedo, 21, before the month of January is out.

According to the Daily Mail, the Brighton midfielder is reportedly willing to submit a transfer request in order to force a transfer.
Chelsea has been monitoring Caicedo over the past month, while Arsenal saw a £60 million bid rejected.
Brighton is holding out for at least £80 million because they don’t think they need to sell the midfielder, who is essential to their style of play.
Arsenal may not want to see the same thing happen again after seeing their top target, Mykhailo Mudryk, join with Chelsea this winter, so we might be in for an exciting few days involving the two teams.
Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi has said he hopes Caicedo stays until the end of the season. “He is only focused on Brighton. I understand he has the chance to go to a very big team but I hope he can stay with us until the end of the season” he said. “My opinion is that is the best solution for him and us.”

Arsenal will play Manchester City in a crucial FA Cup match on Friday night for a spot in the fifth round, while Chelsea will have a week free after being eliminated by Pep Guardiola’s squad in the last stage of the competition.
On Sunday, Caicedo’s Brighton will play host to Liverpool, although it is unclear if De Zerbi will start his star midfielder in that game.
