Breaking News – Pressure Forces Tinubu To Drop FERMA Board Chair
FERMA Board Chair: Pressures from the public may have forced President Bola Tinubu to drop board chairman of the Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA).
He today, Thursday, directed that the man, 24-year-old Imam Kashim Imam, be dropped from the office.
Tinubu’s decision to withdraw Iman as FERMA Board Chair was broken to newsmen in a statement signed by Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale,
Imam, is the son of Kashim Ibrahim-Imam, a politician from Borno State, and was appointed as FERMA Board chairman following its recent reconstitution by the president.
The appointment did not however seemed to go down well with some Nigerian, some of whom raised questions about both his age and experience for such a critical position, forcing the president to reconsider the decision.

He is however, a first-class graduate of Mechanical Engineering from Brighton University in the United Kingdom.
The statement stated that the withdrawal of Imam’s name as FERMA Board Chair was with immediate effect.
The Eagle reports that President Bola Tinubu had, last Friday reconstituted FERMA’s governing board and management team for a renewable term of four years.
The President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, titled ‘President Tinubu appoints new board and management of the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency.’
Imam Kashim-Imam was named as the new Chairman of the board while Chukwuemeka Agbasi was named Managing Director.

In his case, Agbasi, holds an MSc/DIC in Concrete Structures and Doctorate in Civil Engineering from Imperial College, London and University of London respectively.
He also holds a postgraduate certificate in Engineering Management from University of Bath Management School, UK. He obtained his BEng (Civil Engineering) and MEng (Materials & Construction) degrees from University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
