Blow For Chelsea! Victor Osimhen Set To Sign New Napoli Contract 

Nigerian icon Victor Osimhen is poised to sign a new contract at Napoli with a potential release clause of €130 million (£112m/$141m), in a major blow to Chelsea.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Napoli and Osimhen have achieved a basic understanding about a new deal. The striker’s current contract expires at the end of the following season, but an extension until 2026 is expected, along with a possible release clause.

Osimhen has six goals in 11 Serie A games this season, and the report suggests that his new deal may reflect his value by including a release clause worth up to €130 million. The clause’s exact worth is unknown, but Chelsea will be devastated to learn of a possible new deal given rumours that they may make a move to recruit the forward in January.

The 24-year-old will hopefully continue to score goals for Napoli in the interim, but a significant move is imminent in the near future. That However, considering what Chelsea spent during the 2023 winter window, a massive January bid from them shouldn’t be completely discounted.
