Blessing Or Curse? Man Slumps After Wife Delivers Triplets

Is the birth of triplets a blessing or curse? Well the answer to the question could well be found in what had just happened.

An otherwise happy news became the reason for drama at the Federal University Teaching Hospital, Lokoja, Kogi State.

There, a man Adamu Muhammed Tenimu , slumped and fainted upon hearing that his wife had delivered triplets.

Was it a blessing or curse? The triplets are all girls, and eyewitnesses said the man, upon hearing the news was overwhelmed by emotion and slumped.

Hospital officials and sympathisers quickly came to his aid and successfully revived him.

Muhammed, currently unemployed was to tell journalists afterwards that it was a mixture of joy and sadness, blessing or curse depending on how one viewed it.

The birth was a blessing but a burden considering his current inability to meet the accompanying financial responsibilities.

So, shedding tears profusely, he said: “I thank God for this miracle, but I am confused and sad.

“I didn’t know we were expecting triplets. Right now, we don’t even have the means and financial capacity to pay the hospital bills, let alone care for three babies at once,” he said

For lack of finance, proper medical care had not been taken and the family did not know the woman was carrying triplets, he explained,

He said they could only make minimal preparation for the pregnancy before labour.

“This blessing is huge, but so is the burden. I don’t even have money to buy diapers or baby food. I don’t know where to start,” he lamented.
