An Australian grandma has given birth to twin girls after marrying a younger Nigerian.

Angela Peters, a 56-year-old mother of five and grandmother of 12 gave birth to twin girls, Khorus and Knowyn, with her 39-year-old husband, Bright, reports quora

The couple met online in 2020 and got married in Lagos, Nigeria, just nine days after meeting face-to-face in 2021.

The report said at first, that Angela’s children were unsure about the relationship, but they eventually accepted Bright.

Angela thought her days of having children were over, as she was already going through perimenopause. But after finding IVF clinics in Nigeria that treat older women, she decided to try for a baby.

Using donor eggs and Bright’s sperm, she became pregnant and carried the babies herself.

In December 2023, she found out she was having twins — something Bright had actually guessed would happen. The twin girls were born healthy in August 2024.

Angela isn’t bothered by people judging her age.

She said, “Men have kids in their 60s and nobody questions it.

These girls will grow up surrounded by a big, loving family”, Quora quotes the Australian grandma, now wife to a younger Nigerian said.
