FRSC Marshall On Duty

Do you know that assaulting a Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) marshal on duty, can make you liable to paying N10, 000 fine.

Well, that is one in the many rules and regulations guiding driving, especially in Lagos, but which many people are not privy of.

The Eagle reports that aside the N10, 000 sanction for assaulting a Road Marshall on duty, there are other sanctions concerning driving and relating with FRSC officials that many people are gravely ignorant about.

Similar to the above is attempting to corrupt an FRSC marshal on duty: it also carries a heavy sanction of N10, 000.

When it comes to fleet operation violation, the sanction is heaviest, carrying a fine of N200, 000, while inadequate construction warning sign carries a financial sanction of N50,000.

On the other hand, failure to report road crash is punishable with a fine of N20, 000.

Incidentally, aside the fine as concerns an FRSC Marshall On Duty,  there exists other fines on the commission’s schedule that many motorists are ignorant of, and kkeep falling foul of.
