The gubernatorial ambitions of the minister of communications, Adebayo Shittu, has suffered a serious setback.
This is because, his political party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has just released a bomb, by disqualifying him from the race.
The reason according to the party was because of the minister’s failure to partake in the mandatory National Youths Service Corps scheme, NYSC
Yet, Shittu, had before now, contended that the party would lose the governorship election in Oyo State to opposition party if it failed to pick him as the governorship candidate.
He had told journalists in Ibadan that he was the only aspirant, capable of winning the gubernatorial poll for the party in the state, adding that it was therefore in its interest to field him.
