APC Chairman, Hundreds of Supporters Dump Party, Join PDP

Some All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftains, including those on the party’s executive committee in the Obingwa Local Government Area of the Abia South Senatorial District of Abia State, have defected to the governing PDP.

Former APC zonal chairman Orji Chikezirim, former APC woman leader Mrs. Adaku Abel, and local government area executives of the APC helped the defectors transition into the PDP in Abia. All three are from the Abia south region.

According to DailyPost, The defectors joined the party during the flag-off of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu’s senatorial bid campaign at the weekend.

The former Abia south zonal chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Orji Chikezirim claimed Ikpeazu’s successes led to the defections.

Receiving the decampees on behalf of the Abia chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, Ibe Nwadioha assured the new party members of equal rights and privileges.
