After signing Cristiano Ronaldo, Al-Nassr is apparently looking to add additional European superstars, with Eden Hazard being one such player.

The winger’s career hasn’t really taken off at the Bernabeu, and Hazard has been linked with a Madrid exit for almost a year now.

According to Football Mercato, Al-Nassr appear prepared to seize this opportunity and are apparently interested in signing Hazard this summer. Hazard and the club are already connected. Hazard made his debut for Lille under manager Rudi Garcia, who also helped him develop into a talented young winger.

More Europeans to join Ronaldo have been sought after by Al-Nassr. Sergio Ramos, Sergio Busquets, and Marcelo are just a few of the names that have been mentioned. The first genuine tangible connection, though, seems to be this one. Al-Nassr can undoubtedly afford Hazard’s wages until his contract expires in 2024.

Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti backed Hazard after the winger turned in a tepid performance against Cacereno in the Copa Del Rey on Tuesday. “I liked [Hazard]. It’s difficult to evaluate players individually, it was impossible to play,” he said.

The winger is only expected to make a few appearances for Madrid in the upcoming months, most likely in cup games.
