Ajadi Provides Perspectives To Burning National Issues On Alive TV Breakfast Show

A director of The Eagle Newsmedia and entrepreneur, Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, was guest of Alive Television earlier this morning, presenting interesting perspectives to burning national issues.

The breakfast live telecast saw Ajadi lending his voice to a variety of topics, on business, politics, national security, public infrastructure as well as people welfare.

The issue of procurement of a naval boat in the 2023 supplementary budget, alleged brutalisation in Imo State, of the president of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), and general state of infrastructure in the country featured in the programme.

While bemoaning the near absence of roads, electricity and water for example, as well as the general economy hardship in the country which became major fallouts from the live show, Ajadi opined that these have become triggers for social vices.

He identified them as, direct and indirect indices of bad governance, leading to general mistrust of those who wield the reins of power.

According to Ajadi, masses’ suspicious of the leadership account for the uproar over the issue of Naval boat in the 2023 supplementary budget.

He is of the opinion that less criticism would have ensued over the matter had the government of the day shown transparency in resource allocation before now.

Otherwise, the issue of equipping a nation’s military remains a priority, he contended referencing from ongoing happenings in Middle East.

On the issue of NLC president, Joe Ajaero versus the Imo State governor, Hope Uzodinma, Ajadi justified Ajaero’s presence and intervention in Imo State, declaring that by the mandate of office, that the NLC president was qualified to intervene on matters affecting the welfare of the generality of Nigerian workers, wherever and whenever necessary.

He urged governments generally to be true to their promises and commitment to the people who elected them into public office, rather than abandoning the masses to hardship in the midst of plenty.

Ajadi who is also the gubernatorial candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in Ogun State carpeted the argument of some unnamed governors who decided to withhold dividends of democracy from particular areas or districts in their states on the excuse that such constituencies did not vote for them.

He described such as an act of irresponsibility, and could only come from a public office holder who hadn’t understood the meaning of acting for the public good rather than personal interest.
