AFCON: Salah Injury Serious Than First Thought – Agent 

The Liverpool star’s representative has stated that Mohamed Salah’s injury is “more serious than first thought” and that he will now undergo a rigorous rehabilitation.

During his team’s Africa Cup of Nations match against Ghana, Salah was injured and left the game in the first half. The attacker will return to Merseyside to start his treatment, according to Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp, who made the announcement on Sunday. The player’s agency has now verified that the injury is more serious than first thought.

“The injury is more serious than first thought. He will be out for 21-28 days,” the attacker’s agent, Ramy Abbas, said on X. “His best chance at participating in the current AFCON is by undergoing intensive rehabilitation in the UK and rejoining the team as soon as he is fit.”

The Egypt star’s chances of going back to the Ivory Coast to partake in the continental championship appear to be minimal given that he may be out for four weeks. To be able to support the national team, the Pharaohs would need to make it all the way to the championship game and his recuperation in Liverpool would need to go without a hitch. If not, he might miss a minimum of six Liverpool games before his anticipated comeback at the end of February.
