After being caught on camera wooing a lady at the ongoing African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cote D’ivoire, a football fan has tendered an apology.
Anselme Santos, an Ivorian football fan, was picked on the stands camera wooing a lady, and the moment became an instant meme.
Santos, reports show has now apologiesed to his family, his children and the lady over his untoward behavior in the heat of passion.
According to Actu Foot, Santos expressed remorse for any distress he would have caused by such an unguarded reaction.

“In the euphoria, I told her ‘give your number’. It wasn’t mean, but she didn’t want to. So I didn’t insist. I would like to take this opportunity to apologize to the lady, my wife, and my children,” he said via Actu Foot.
The incident happened when the host nation, began celebrating a win of defending champions, Senegal, a frenzy that snowballed over the entire stadium, spilling into nations and homes from where the continental football fiesta was being watched.
The Round of 16 match was played inside the Stade Charles Konan Banny de Yamoussoukro.
Meanwhile with the AFCON competition inching to gritty stage, there have been predictions and suggestions of who is set for the final and who is likely out.
Ivory Coast billed to face Mali that has triumphed countless times from the depths of defeat, is set for a quarter-final exit according to predictions provided by Opta’s supercomputer.
On the other hand, Nigeria’s Super Eagles is predicted to likely advance, billed for a quarter final encounter with Angola.

That is not to suggest in any way that her opponent would be a pushover, having dominated their group and is home to a highly regarded Algerian team. It is anticipated that their trip would soon come to an end.
