Rescue efforts by the Red Cross have led to the rescue from the collapsed building rubble, one of the victims.
He had been trapped in the 18-storey building that collapsed in Eastleigh, Nairobi, the capital of Kenya and taken to Kenyatta National Hospital for treatment.
The Kenya Red Cross said the rescue followed hours of painstaking work by its search and rescue teams alongside multi-agency partners.
“After hours of painstaking work alongside multi-agency partners, our search and rescue teams in Eastleigh brought a trapped man out of the rubble,” the organisation said.
The rescue comes as teams continue searching the site of the collapsed building along Yusuf Haji Avenue.

In an update on Saturday afternoon, the Kenya Red Cross said 66 of the 67 construction workers who were at the site had been traced and accounted for.
However, the search remains ongoing for anyone who may have been inside or near the building when it collapsed.

“Our teams remain on site with multi-agency partners,” the organisation said.
The Kenya Red Cross has urged people searching for missing relatives to visit the tracing desk at the site of the collapsed building or call its toll-free line, 1199, for assistance.
The collapse has prompted continued search and rescue operations, with teams working to establish whether anyone else remains trapped in the rubble.
The Kenya Red Cross said its teams and partners would continue the operation as the search for potentially missing people proceeds.
