“I am human. I made a mistake. I have reflected. And today, I say sincerely: I am sorry”.

Those were the apology words of Emeka Rollas, former President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN).

He was apologising to actress Regina Daniels and her mother, Rita Daniels, over comments he made during the actress’s marital crisis with her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko.

He added: “Whether or not anyone chooses to accept my apology is entirely their decision. I am making it because, after looking back, I am not proud of how I handled that moment.

“Leadership is not only about having the courage to speak. It is also about having the humility to acknowledge when we could have spoken differently, waited longer, or chosen a better path.

“I may still hold my convictions about some of the issues I raised then, but I take responsibility for my actions and my timing,” he added in the apology posted on Instagram

Recall last year, that in the heat of the alleged marital squabbles between Regina and Ned Nwoko, some people had joined the fray making one comment or another.

Rollas was one of those who did.

He had advised Regina’s mother to prioritise her daughter’s proper upbringing rather than seeking to lead AGN.

“Regarding Regina, we all know she needs help. Your silence is unfair”, he had also said, with Regina Daniels firing back:

“Respectfully, there must be something wrong with you, sir, to say I need help?
It may appear that the hatchet has now been buried with Rollas’ apology post
