A Shari’ah court judge, has made a dramatic jump through the courtroom window, escaping from armed men who just stormed the court premises.
Mohammed Muktar, made the desperate escape when suspected abductors yesterday, stormed the court premises, firing sporadically and demanding to know the whereabouts of the judge
Residents of Gwarjo village, Matazu Local Government Area of Katsina State narrated to newsmen how what was supposed to be an ordinary day for the court turned into a deadly drama.
“The bandits entered the courtroom, shooting indiscriminately and repeatedly asking where the judge was. Fortunately, he had already escaped through the window, and a commercial motorcyclist helped him flee before they arrived,” a resident told Daily Trust.

Mohammed Muktar had suspected something fishy, after sighting them from a distance, and quickly escaped through a window.
The gunmen arrived the courtroom a second too late because the Shari’ah court judge had already made good his escape.
They reportedly became enraged, threatening to kill him if he ever returned to preside over court proceedings in the community.
