4 Days After He Went To Bring Her Home, Husband’s, Pregnant Wife’s Bodies Found Hanging In Forest

The bodies of a pregnant wife and her husband’s have been found hanging from a tree in a forest, four days after he went to his inlaws to bring her home.

Report monitored by our correspondent indicate that the couple who had married just six months ago went missing while on their way to get a mobile phone repaired.

How that ended with the bodies hanging from a tree in the forest is what the police in Uttarakhand’s Pauri district, India, is trying to unravel

The couple had left their home in Bijnor for Kotdwar on July 16, to get their mobile phone fixed.

Neighbours however became jittery when up till evening, they failed to return.

When family members tried to contact them, their phones were switched off, leading to a missing person s’ report.

Their bodies were later discovered hanging on a tree in a forest, 30 miles from their location, July 17 by a search party constituted by the police.

The victim’s father, a Havildar in the Indian Army, alleged that his daughter-in-law was pregnant and claimed she was gang-raped before the couple was murdered.

He said his son — who had completed Class 12 and was preparing to join the Army — went to Bijnor on July 15 to bring his wife back after she had been at her parental home for around 15 days.

Police also found the couple’s bike parked on the roadside with keys still in the ignition and their bags lying nearby.

Their damaged mobile phones were also recovered from the spot..
