All of a sudden, a Naija man has lost his US residency, found himself on the streets of Nigeria, over alleged domestic violence, amongst other crimes.
The US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) said on its official X account that the Naija man, Ayodeji Ajayi, listed one of his breaches to be remaining in the country illegally after entering on a student visa nearly two decades ago.
“Ayodeji Olamide Ajayi, of Nigeria, entered the United States in 2007 on a student visa and eventually left school, but failed to leave the country.”
“Instead, he stayed in the US and got to work on a lengthy rap sheet” that includes convictions for domestic violence, trespassing, intimidation and obstruction.
“Thanks to @POTUS’ commitment to getting criminal illegal aliens out of this country, Ajayi will be leaving the United States shortly”, ICE said.
There is an ongoing full scale crackdown on undocumented immigrants with criminal records, in line with the current US administration’s policies.
