‘We’ll Witness A Mass Exodus From The APC In Coming Days’

Mass Exodus

Prepare for a mass exodus from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the coming days, the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has predicted.

The party made the prediction while reacting to the recent ruling of an Abuja High Court, permitting politicians with such intention to defect ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The court’s stance thus overruled the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on the matter, technically extending the deadline for political parties to submit their membership registers, to September 2026.

Reacting, NDC described the ruling as a vindication of its own position.

In a statement issued in Abuja by its National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, the party said:

“The decision of the court on these issues, including those that directly contradict the constitution, is therefore a welcome vindication of our position,” it said.

“We believed at the time that that particular restriction was designed to prevent people from leaving the ruling party, APC.

“Now that the court has ruled against it, we are sure that, in the coming days, we will witness a mass exodus from the ruling party.”
