There have been an overflow of anger on the streets of Calabar today following alleged hospital negligence that led to death of three students of the University of Cross River State (UNICROSS) and their driver.
The four lost their lives following a ghastly accident at the weekend while returning from an official assignment in Akwa Ibom State.
The students however feel the lives of the four could have been saved if not what they see as the negligence of hospital staff.
As a result, the UNICROSS students began a march of anger from their campus through the streets to the hospital, and then the Governor’s Office.

What was supposed to be a peaceful protest ended up turning violent as the students began clashing with police.
Hospital staff took their heels upon sighting the angry students
Latest reports indicate however that the police have been able to put the situation under control.
This was confirmed by the police public relations officer, ASP Sunday Eitokpah.
