Ibukun Awosika Resigns As Cadbury Nigeria Director

Notable Nigerian entrepreneur,  Mrs Ibukun Awosika has resigned as director of confectionaries giant, Cadbury Nigeria Plc.

Her resignation was announced by the company in a notice to the Nigerian Exchange Limited

A statement signed by the Company Secretary, Afolasade Olowe, said Awosika’s resignation would take effect from May 1, 2026.

“The Board expresses its deep appreciation to Mrs. Awosika for her valued contribution since his

appointment in October 2009,” the statement read.

According to it,  a replacement for the outgoing director would be announced in due course.

The Eagle reports that Mrs Ibukun Awosika is a reputable Nigerian entrepreneur who also devotes time to mentoring young and upcoming ones.

Aside boardroom commitments, she is a regular face in the media and provides regular and useful insights in entrepreneurship generally.
