UK Schools Offer Global Learning Opportunities To Nigerians

Schools in the United Kingdom are opening the doors for more learning opportunities for Nigerians interested in the European country.

This they are doing through an interactive and education exhibition programme scheduled for next month in Abuja and Lagos.

Coming under the UK boarding Week, the exhibition would showcase for Nigerians, specific boarding school programmes, admission requirements, and learning opportunities in the United Kingdom

The Mark Brooks Education, led by Mr Mark Brooks, a UK Department for Business and Trade Export Champion with over 17 years’ experience advising Nigerian families is behind the programme.

His statement last Wednesday, provided some insight into the learning opportunities set to be unveiled at the exhibition.

“This programme enables parents and students to meet school heads, explore academic pathways and gain first-hand insight into British boarding education.

“Families attending will be able to speak directly with schools offering outstanding academic results, strong pastoral care and vibrant co-curricular programmes, all within welcoming international communities”.

He listed highlights of the programmes to include school visits, student presentations, leadership workshops and parent engagement sessions in Abuja and Lagos.

It begins in Abuja at the Transcorp Hilton on March 4, while the Lagos exhibition is scheduled for March 7 at The George Hotel, Ikoyi.

1. Bromsgrove School
2. Canford School
3. Cardiff Sixth Form College
4. Dean Close School
5. Downside School
6. Lancing College.
7. Milton Abbey School, Stamford School and
8. Wellington School.

Mr Alex Battison, Head of Wellington School, said Nigerian families have long been part of the school’s international community.
