AFCON 2025: Nigeria Zooms Into Semi With Osimhen, Akor Goals
Victor Osimhen and Akor Adams have shot Nigeria into the semi-final stage of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) holding in Morocco.
They helped ease the tension back home, scoring one each against a highly-rate Algeria to book a semi-final place at the continental football tournament.
The march which was played at the Stade de Marrakech with over 32,452 spectators in attendance, was the talk of the town in both Nigeria and Algeria given both the caliber of the two teams.
IT was however the Nigerian ambassadors, the Super Eagles that carried the day at the end of regulation time.

It was not an easily won victory anyway, given the market resistance of the Desert Foxes, as the Algerian national team is also known.
It was a day in which Victor Osimhen gave a good account of himself, ably supported by the Ademola Lookman.
