Bellingham & Palmer Are Europe’s Golden Boys
Following a game-winning performance for Chelsea against Newcastle, Cole Palmer and Jude Bellingham topped a notable 2023–24 chart.
Palmer had a fantastic game on Monday as Chelsea defeated Newcastle United 3-2 in the Premier League. He scored once and provided an assist. Following his impressive performance at Stamford Bridge, the Blues star’s 19 goal total this season is now tied with that of his England teammate Bellingham. Together, the two players top the list of players under 21 who have the most goal involvements in the top five leagues in Europe.

While Palmer has netted 11 times and provided eight assists in the Premier League, Real Madrid star Bellingham has scored 16 La Liga goals and contributed with three assists. Overall, the former Borussia Dortmund player has 29 goal contributions in all competitions this season, while the Chelsea youngster has 26.
Palmer, who completed the youth programme at Manchester City, joined Chelsea in the summer after leaving the team. The player declared following his game-winning display against the Magpies that his move paid off since he is now able to show off his talents.
The 21-year-old will play in the FA Cup quarterfinal against Leicester City on Sunday, which is Mauricio Pochettino’s team’s next match.
