CR7 Sends Out Message After Messi Wins ‘FIFA The Best Award’

Cristiano Ronaldo shared a motivational message on social media moments after Lionel Messi bagged FIFA The Best Men’s Player of the Year Award.

The World Cup-winning Argentina captain has now earned FIFA The Best Men’s Player of the Year Award for a record third time on Monday, following his eighth career Ballon d’Or victory in October of last year. His longtime opponent, who did not participate in the final vote process, made social media posts in the wake of the announcement.

Ronaldo dropped a post on Instagram where he shared his own image with a motivational caption that read, “Back for more! 💪🏽”

The Portuguese talisman, who plays for Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro League, had an incredible year in 2023, setting a record with 54 goals. The 38-year-old defeated players like Erling Haaland, Harry Kane, and Kylian Mbappe to take the title of top men’s goal scorer of the year.

The two greatest football players in history will square off in a friendly match on February 1 when Al-Nassr and Inter Miami play for the Riyadh Cup.
