Members of Porter’s House, as the Akute branch of the Redeemed Evangelical Mission (TREM), is also known, were pleasant to behold on Sunday December 3, 2023.

It was the church’s annual thanksgiving day and the members, led by branch pastor, Rev Mark Adudu, and his wife, Stella Adudu stirred the place with excitement.

He admonished the congregation with various Scriptures including Ps 107;1-, and Ps 105:1 amongst others affirming that a lot had happened in the course of the year, but that God kept His people for which the church should thank Him.

God, he said had remained faithful to Porter’s House members, keeping a watch over them, and ensuring no penetration of the devil against them.

The blood of Jesus with which He had surrounded His children,  had rendered the devil incapable of unleashing atracks, Rev Adudu said.

The man of God also admonished the church never to lose hope in spite of biting challenges all around the country. He said God is available for His children and will, not only  keep them but also provide for them.

More than anything else, he said believers should seek God always and with their heart and service as a matter of primary obligation.

Thereafter, the Thanksgiving proper began, from children to young people, women and men and also families.

A highlight of the Porter’s House annual thanksgiving service was the sharing of refreshment; and the man of God made several prophetic declarations over the congregation.

First-time comers were also received and prayed for before the congregants were dispersed in peace.
