The Arewa group of Epe division, Lagos State has pledged its support for His Excellency, Governor Akinwunmi Ambode’s second term bid.
The group came out amass in a campaign organised by the “Ambo Lekan si Grassroot Volunteers”, coordinated by Hon. Queen Aminat Badri to prove their loyalty and support for the governor’s second term ambition.
At the instance of Community Network Integration (CNI) The Eagle correspondent trailed the group as it visited different locations within Epe community Including the royal palaces with banners and sound while dancing and jubilating.
Speaking at the event, Muri Abdulhi, the coordinator described Ambode as not just a leader, but a father who had proved his dependability beyond reasonable doubt, citing this as reason for endorsing him a second time.
He added that despite not coming from the South-West, they were benefiting so much from the administration’s policies.
“Ambode is not just the son of the soil and we are not supporting him based on that; he has worked effortlessly to give us value.
“He is not working only for his people but for all and sundry. This is the reason why even the Arewa group has come out to show their massive support and we will make sure that everyone gets their PVC to vote” he said.
A member of the group, Ismaila Yesufu, who danced and rejoiced during the campaign expressed gratitude to the governor for developing Epe community with laudable projects.
He added that they would do everything within their capacity to rally all Northerners for support the bid.
