A grave side is obviously not the right place to start justifying unfavourable government policies.
Members of the ruling party who tried doing so in the course of a burial, have learnt their lesson in a bitter way: they have been driven out of the grave site by angry villagers.
Aside the pain of bereavement, they had also suffered from the nationwide high cost of living, and could not understand why anyone in the country should justify government policies that led to this.

It all happened at the burial site of a councilor of the Patriotic Party of Zambia, representing Kasama Constituency, Zebron Kashiba, which members of the ruling United Party for National Development (UPND) were in attendance.
Rather than respect the sentiments of the bereaved, the ruling party supporters, had engaged those who complained about the general unfavourable cost of living in the country, charaterised by the high cost of the basic staple, mealie meal.
Such a reaction by the UPND supporters right by the grave site angered the mourners, hence they made it uncomfortable for the supporters to stay on.

They interpreted it as a mockery to the citizenry, for anyone to justify the government superintending an economy where daily survival had become very challenging.
