Messi Speaks On Germany’s Elimination From The FIFA World Cup 2022
Argentine star, Lionel Messi has expressed shock about Germany’s loss and elimination at the FIFA 2022 World Cup group stage.
The Four-time FIFA winners lost their chance of going into the knockout stage after placing third in Group E, behind Japan and second-place Spain.
In reaction to this, Messi expressed shock, explaining “how difficult the World Cup is.”
In his words: “I was surprised that they were out,” Messi said.
“They [Germany] had many top players, and they’re a young team that is always among the best in a World Cup.
“It is surprising that they were out again in the first round, but that shows how difficult the World Cup is.
“It is no longer the name of the national team that matters, but what you see on the pitch. Everything is becoming more and more equal.”

Meanwhile, Messi helped Argentina advance to the quarter-finals with his first-ever FIFA World Cup knockout goal in a 2-1 victory over Australia in their last-16 clash on Saturday.
Messi has been in excellent shape lately. This is his sixth and last FIFA World Cup. In his first four games, he has three goals and one assist. The 35-year-old is next slated to play against the Netherlands on Friday in Lusail in the last-eight stage.

Certainly this year’s World Cup Games came with a lot of surprises. Germany team did not qualify for the round of sixteen. It is a pity.Other top rated teams too did not progress to quarter finals as well. Let us keep our fingers crossed till the last four.I wish the victorious teams more luck in their future Games.
