Dollar to Naira exchange rate, today Friday 19th of August is set at N683.47/$1 according to the Peer-to-Peer trading segment.
The local currency incurred a N2 appreciation against its counterpart, as the previous day’s concluding figure at the P2P session was set for N685.10/$1.
The naira and the US dollar exchanged hands at N429.38/$1 at the Investors and Exporters (I&E) window, where official foreign exchange trades are conducted, indicating a flat rate since the previous session ended with the same figure.
In the official Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) forex market, the value of the Naira also settled flat to be sold at N420.83/$1.
Meanwhile, in the black market, the Naira commenced the day at N683/$1, however, has incurred a surge in demand to be sold at N686/$1 as it this afternoon.

The digital currencies all had their fair share of the surging global recession as they all record bearish in the past 24 hours of trade.
Bitcoin (BTC) dropped by 8.78% to be sold at $21,405.9, Ethereum (ETH) hit a rock bottom of 9.21% to be sold at $1,687.35, Litecoin (LTC) dropped by 10.57% to be exchanged at $54.54 -6.45, XRP hits 10.26% to be sold at $0.3375, BCH records 11.37% change and goes for $119.3, while IOTA 10.65% to be sold at $0.2869.
