6 Players Who Could Leave Chelsea In January

As the fat is cut from a bloated team and new owner Todd Boehly continues to squander his riches with a brazen disregard for what others may think, the month might usher in the first stage of a squad overall at Chelsea in 2023.

Graham Potter, the manager, had the exceptional chance to work closely with those team members who were absent from the World Cup for a long length of time in the weeks before the window, away from the spotlight and media attention.

The wide man has been consistently linked with AC Milan after switching from Ajax to west London in 2020. His languid style would fit the league’s slower tempo.

Graham Potter would have been reminded of Ziyech’s abilities by his World Cup displays, and a memorable cameo against Nottingham Forest on New Year’s Day may have cemented his place in the team.

Christian Pulisic

Before the World Cup, Pulisic’s manager used him little, but after a successful performance with the United States in Qatar, Graham Potter has begun to utilize him more frequently.

Cesare Casadei

Casadei’s summer arrival is evidence that Chelsea is bringing in and fostering a talented group of young players, with new owner Todd Boehly determined to create a legion of Under-25 talent.

But that also means that it will be harder than ever to succeed.

Goal-scoring midfielder Casadei has made an immediate impact with the development team since moving from Inter. He was also invited to the mid-season training camp in Abu Dhabi and stood out on his first-team debut there against Aston Villa.

The 19-year-old has reportedly already been designated for a loan spell in January, likely with the goal of accelerating his development and getting him ready for the first squad as soon as possible.
